Toronto hotel room available
tj:
Due to my current work situation, we’re unable to attend the Toronto Tweetup.
We’ve been planning to go for about a year so I’m pretty upset, but there’s nothing I can do about it at this point.
Among the suckiest parts are that we have non-refundable hotel reservations.
So if anyone has been meaning to make reservations and hasn’t, we have a room (business queen) Fri/ Sat nights at Hotel Victoria if somebody wants it.
If you need a hotel room for Torontup, talk to TJ.

Torontup ball fans! (and baseball fans too)
We’re looking into group seats for the Jays versus Phillies game on Saturday June 16th.
We need at least 20 people to get the group rate, otherwise we’re looking at about $18 bucks a seat. We’re already going to be in the nosebleeds because I just checked and the seats are selling out fast (the Phillies must be a big deal or something - whodathunkit).
But it’s more of a party atmosphere, way up in the atmosphere, innit? So who needs field level seats anyway? RIGHT?? Right.
So please, if you’re coming, RSVP s’il vous plaît - to my ask box or to my email (dresspants@gmail.com) and I’ll book a group rate ASAP.
You haven’t lived until you’ve tried Canadian CrackerJacks™ or a smogdog with ketchup on it.
Please reblog or pass this vital information on to any and all Torontup 2012 attendees.
Thanks a bunch.
(edit: Sorry - yes June 16th - d’oh thanks Terry)

Rates are for two guests sharing a room. If you’d like to share with more people, there’s a $15.00 surcharge for each additional adult in the Deluxe Queen twin room only. (maximum of 5 people with a cot).

Toronto has a working farm in the middle of the city. It’s even better in the summer. You know, around June 16.

Toronto has the Royal Ontario Museum (The ROM). If you enjoy awesome museums, this is the kind of museum you’d enjoy.

TWEETUMBLUP IN TORONTO! Saturday, June 16
Come to Toronto! See Toronto stuff! Meet Toronto people! Drink Toronto drinks! Stare at Canadians! They probably won’t have a gun. If you’re already from Toronto or Canada, some of this stuff won’t be as exciting. I’m sorry.
There are two Jays games that weekend, and NXNE is on, so there should be plenty to do if you’re easily bored.
There’s a farm in the middle of the city. There’s the Hockey Hall of Fame. There’s a really tall tower. There’s Chinatown, the Gay Village, Little Italy, Greektown, Toronto Island, the Distillery District, and more.
We’re working on finalizing the venue and hotel info. We’ll post it as soon as we have it, and set up an RSVP.
Use the askbox if you have questions.
